Frequently asked questions, and (more importantly) answers.
Choosing a senior living community is a big decision. We understand the concerns of families for their loved ones, and we’ve provided answers to some of the most frequently asked questions about our community. Of course, we’re always available to answer your specific questions – call us any time at 707-566-8600 or email [email protected].
When can my loved one move to Arbol Residences?
Anytime they’d like. We welcome all adults ages 65+ who need high-quality care in a happy, wholesome environment.
How are you different from other senior living communities?
We’re the only CCRC (continuing care retirement community) in the Sonoma area to offer senior living for a simple monthly rental fee with no upfront entrance costs. That means there’s little to no impact on a resident’s savings or their estate. We charge a predictable monthly fee that includes access to an array of community services and amenities, including the unique services of a Health and Wellness Navigator. If your loved one needs temporary care or needs to transition to a higher level of elder care, your family stays in control of the choices, schedule and costs at all times.
What are the residential options?
There’s a variety of comfortably appointed floor plans for each level of care. Assisted living residents enjoy studio or one-bedroom apartments with all the comforts they’re used to and receive help with activities of daily living in the privacy of their residence. Residents needing post-acute care or short-term rehabilitation choose between a private studio with private bath or a semiprivate studio with shared bath. Memory care residences are private suites nestled in a secure memory care neighborhood.
Are residents allowed to decorate or make changes to their residence?
Yes, other than structural changes. All upgrades need to be approved in advance by our management, but we support the addition of personal touches that help residents feel at home.
Is Arbol Residences a pet-friendly senior living community?
Absolutely. Small dogs and cats are allowed on any floor in Assisted Living.
What amenities and services are provided at Arbol Residences?

What types of care do you offer at Arbol Residences?
We provide a high-quality continuum of care on campus:
- Assisted living that provides help with activities of daily living such as grooming, bathing and medications
- Memory care for seniors with age-related memory loss, including those affected by Alzheimer’s
- Post-acute care: 24/7 skilled, compassionate nursing care at Arbol Post-Acute Care.
- Rehabilitation services for those needing post-hospital care such as wound care, and the latest rehabilitation treatment plans, including physical, speech and occupational therapies
Will long-term care insurance help cover the cost of memory care?
Many long-term care policies help cover the costs of both assisted living and memory care, but you’ll need to review your loved one’s specific coverage to be sure. If they are a veteran or the widow of a veteran, they may be eligible for a wide variety of benefits available to all U.S. military veterans. Contact our senior living experts in the sales department, and they will be happy to provide you with more information.
